Top 5 Fashion Photographers – we adore!
When it comes to making magic with an editorial shoot, some fashion photographers know how to make the image jump of the pages and inspire you. So since The Great Beyond is in the business of fashion and our designer Nick, does all the photography for the website, we wanted to count down our Top 5 Fashion Photographers. So let’s get straight into it!
Number 1 – Patrick Demarchelier
If you have ever watched Devil Wears Prada, you will know his name. This iconic french photographer’s work is everywhere in high end fashion, photographing the likes of Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence to spreads for Vogue. Check out his imagery below.
Number 2 – Steven Meisel
Born in 1952 Steven Meisel is known for his dramatic and romantic approach to fashion photography. He rarely gives interviews and hardly is photographed, he is accredited to launching some of the biggest supermodels careers today such as Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell to name a few.
Number 3 – Mario Testino
Mario Testino’s fashion photography works have graced the covers of Vogue, V Magazine and GQ. The Peruvian born photography knows how to bring an image to life, you should check out his website here. He’s constantly working his magic at shoots, creating impeccable portraits of celebrities and models, he even photographed the forever beautiful Princess Diana.
Number 4 – Peter Lindbergh
Mr. Lindbergh is truly in a league of his own with his breathtaking black and white portraits, his work will leave you breathless. His images speak louder than words, just take a look!
Number 5 – Annie Leibovitz
Annie Lebovitz is known for her surreal and ethereal approach to photography, taking the viewer into another dream dimension with just an image. You probably are most familiar with her Disney series, where she took celebrities and placed them in their own Disney land. But then again maybe you know her famous Rolling Stone cover of Yoko & John Lennon or her imagery of Michael Jackson, the list goes on and on!
